Extra deep and richly maroon, this Mars color is one step darker and bluer than our Mars Violet.
An intensely pigmented Synthetic Iron Oxide, that's a purplish red brown, the Caput Mortuum mixes cleanly to deepen tones or create distinctive dark neutrals with its cool green compliments.
Makes soft bluish grays, with enough white, and is often used to color a white ground because of its cool, neutral undertone.

Warmest of our Natural Red Earths, this earthy rose is richly red yet natural in tint and tone as it easily mixes into a pleasureful range of earthy pinks.
Often used for making facial tints, the Terra Rosa is redder than our Venetian Red yet not as bold as the Mars Red.

One of the first man-made pigments in use throughout the ancient world, this true Antimony Yellow was invented to color and embellish glass, tiles, and even the bricks of royalty.
A principal color on the palettes of painters from the 1700's until the 1850's, when the new Chrome and Cadmium yellows were introduced and eventually gained favor.
Still coveted for its soft glowing light and mixing qualities, this classic pale Naples is close to but brighter than our Dutch Yellow while being as warm and opaque as the Cadmium Yellow Light, yet less harsh.
